Puff, puff, pass the cannabis-infused gravy. Just in time for Thanksgiving, edibles market leader Kiva Confections has unveiled a limited-edition item to launch its new fast-acting technology. Kiva Confections Cannabis-Infused Turkey Gravy—a high-minded spin on a holiday classic—is a single-serve pouch infused with 10 milligrams of THC, which when shared around the dinner table provides a microdose throughout the meal. Claimed to work in just 15 minutes, the light buzz effect will elevate every celebration this season (and make any family infighting much more chill).

On the heels of Wana Brands announcing a partnership with cannabis sweetener company Azuca, edibles that offer a quicker onset time is what the future cannabis consumption through food will look like.
“Fast-acting edibles technology is an exciting industry game-changer because it has the potential to break down the barriers to entry and change the way that people use edibles,” Kiva co-founder and CEO Scott Palmer shared with me exclusively. “What better way to start than with America’s favorite Thanksgiving dressing?”
The recipe is simple: Whisk the gravy powder with one cup of water in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and stir occasionally to achieve your desired level of thickness. Turkey Gravy packets retail for $5 and are available at all Sweet Flower (Los Angeles) and Grass Roots (San Francisco) dispensary locations.

Following the small-batch run of Turkey Gravy (only 135 were made), Kiva will also launch a limited supply of Fast-Acting Cannabis-Infused Hot Chocolate in December, with the release of additional rapid products in 2020. Kiva’s beloved, best-selling Camino Cannabis-Infused Gummies in Holiday Punch and chocolate bars in Peppermint Bark (both five milligrams per serving with a standard onset time) are also hitting shelves in all dispensary partners throughout the season.
Founded in 2010 by Palmer and his wife Kristi, Kiva Confections was born out of their personal frustration from experiencing inconsistent, low-quality edibles that were then crowding California’s medical cannabis landscape. Since starting from scratch in their Bay Area home kitchen, Kiva Confections is now one of the top-selling edibles brands in the nation with its products sold in more than 550 dispensaries across the state and also available in Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Illinois, and Hawaii.
